This is a reminder to all SHIELD personnel that Talk Like a Pirate Day is NOT celebrated by SHIELD as an official holiday. No one is to a) take the day off to go ‘pirating,’ or b) show up for work dressed as a pirate. In addition, any previous memos pertaining to pirate-related activities will still be STRICTLY enforced.]
We just purchased an AMAZING collection of Marvel Comics, including Uncanny X-Men #1-up, Amazing Spider-Man #24-up, Incredible Hulk #181 (1st Wolverine), Giant Size X-Men #1 (1st new X-Men) and 30 other full boxes. I can’t wait to start “processing” them this weekend. OK, I am going to read a bunch of them first.
In the 1970’s, almost any show that was on television had a comic book to go with it, even “Hee Haw”. SALUTE!
Good news Doctor Who fans. I found Amelia Pond in New York.
A couple of months ago, I was approached with the idea of creating a 70s style, Walking Dead variant cover featuring that lovable badass, Michonne.
We are adding another wall of original artwork at the Portland store. Today I picked up framed pages by Will Eisner, Jeff Lemire, Frank Cho, Kazu Kibuishi and others. We hope to install them over the weekend. Here is one of the pieces by David Petersen of Mouse Guard. I will try to photograph more tomorrow.
